Very good clear presentation. Nice Cymatic waves on beginning and end of this video. Really like it !
Thanks 🙂 Now tell me : what should I try to film and to measure ? first diameter and frequency of droplet ?
This is an amazing experiment but I still dont understand where the
atracto-repulsive force come from.. nor do i undersntand why they rotate
instead of being stationary. I mean you can take all the measurements in
the world, the mass of the droplet, the diameter, the angular velocities,
the aplitude of vibrations, the frequency, the temperature of the medium,
local pressure distribution, stresses, and on and on and on.. but there
must be a very simple and elegant explanation to the question WHY we
observe what we observe..
@TheActiveStorage: Interactions between droplet are mediated through
surface waves
how do you make it vibrate, what is the set up pleas,e can you make a
schematic ?

If interested to find out the dynamic force exhibition in the system read
the theory of C. A. Bjerknes extened and published by his son Vilhelm
Bjerknes:
English:
http://books.google.com/books/about/Fields_of_Force.html?id=tXDnAAAAMAAJ
German: https://archive.org/details/vorlesungenberh01bjergoo
If you read them you will be surprised to find out not only the explanation
on these simple phenomena but also the the magnetic and the dielectric
force fields are also fully explainable by it.
In addition if you do additional research you will find out that the there
is a basic assumption that Maxwell made ( and he was aware about it) about
the so called Maxwellian-Stress, based on a static stress in the system
anisotropic system. The main point coming of C. A. Bjerkness theory ( that
has also very simple and amazing experiments as the one shown here,
although this one is sort of 2 dimensional ), is that the so called
Maxwellian-Stress can be also, and even more simply, explained by dynamics
in isotropic system, something Maxwell assumed it is not possible.
it is an amazing reading a recommendation for everyone needing to dive in
the twilight of the dependence between the (Force) Field and the Charge.
